When it rained our screened 'porch' canopy got wet/puddles on the floor and some of the water drained through the netting floor vent - as designed (which unfortunately is located at the tent side and not the door/opening side) We put our tarp under the entire tent/porch and the water flowed from the porch under the tent. Our first night camping we had the top off to be able to enjoy the Stars and the full moon.
