Timeless and ageless. Add me to the Versace Red Jeans Lover Club please! Smells very clean , fresh, mix of light apricot and roses .I like this scent so much I found a dollar tree dupe of it called Red Wear , just for nostalgia .. Love it, I think Red Jeans is not everybody's cup of tea. This is a strong dislike, as it is a strong, sharp floral. I guess that's the power of perfume! It is too innocent. When I smell it the first time I didn't like it but after one hour the fragance was very nice and not strog..and My husband loves the fragance. By the way red is a very appropriate colour for this one. I thought for sure this was a cheapie perfume or knockoff and was shocked to see "Versace" on the bottle. At first i hated it, but it has grown on me.
I disagree that it is a vintage scent. This is a strong fragrance but not sickening. I just purchased this one, and this was a blind buy. Fragrantica Inc, United States. I wanted to do a favour to my friend and bought this (still sealed) bottle from her. Its overwhelming and way too saccharine, I can't smell a thing over that peach, its harsh and cloying. Red Jeans was on my want list and boy did I want it. For such an affordable price it is very long lasting and lovely. I read bad review after bad review after bad review of this fragrance but I bought it anyway thinking, "maybe on *my* skin with *my* chemistry it'll smell good". This to me is a floral slightly fruity, soapy laundry detergent scent. It's an under-$20 fragrance so for the price it's nice enough but I wouldn't re-buy it when I finish my current bottle. For now, I am blissfully happy. Still, I can see where a younger woman, who has grown up with lighter, even unisex scents, would find this a stinker. I can't put my finger on it, but this one smells and feels dated on me. Pleasant fragrance. The bottle itself is very cute and vintage looking. Nice scent. Overall, it maintains a very fruity/berry scent though and I agree with the comments below, there is definitely some raspberry in here that is not listed. I've worn this on and off since I was in high school (which was many moons ago by the way) and there is a good reason why. I never even got it on my skin because I disliked it so much. I tried to like this one. This *is* 1994 to my nose. Could be worn night or day, any season and possibly by any age. I get no rose, no peach, apricot or anything remotely girly.
I'm not sure if any of the fragrances would suit me today, but I still have some Baby Rose Jeans. A very unpleasant experience. I want to start off by saying this is a lovely perfume and I recently re-purchased it. !!! This holds a special place in my heart. I like it, it mostly smells like peaches, roses and vanilla. Its youthful, flirty and casual. :). Definatelly worth trying! Certainly put me off Versace, even if this is one of their cheaper fragrances. I made pencil drawings in my room, I sprayed this on most of my friends and the furniture around me was made out of oakwood. It's very suitable for my skin's chemistry, I love it. This is the winner of the fruity contest. And this one doesnt belong to them. I loved it back then. I picked it up online for less than $20 for the 2.4 ounce. This is a nice safe classic perfume from the 90s. In my opinion this is not a youthful fragrance as so many have indicated. All I can say is "yuck"! I have tried to use it, but now I only keep it because of the memories. It lasts long too. Memories of my denim days flashed back as it stays on my skin thru the night. Anyone know if this has been reformulated through the years? Sometimes I would see them around drugstore or grocery store and I check them out, brings back memory but not enough to get them. I have no idea why I bought this. Truly I am just. disturbed by its designer label. I bought it expecting it to be a good formulation because my partner uses the blue one and I really like it on him. Just bought this today! burst of freshness and feel good vibes! I use it for my ' damn forgot to put on perfume before I left for work' fragrance. Also very synthetic and gives me a headache. Three sprays or more gives me a headache. I keep thinking I'll like a fragrance if I like the notes in it, but I'm going to have to learn that's not always true. I dont agree with the notes at all to me it smells like a powdery grapefruit scent. I've had this bottle for about 3 years and the more I wear it the more I hate it. A family member came back from Switzerland and this was a gift from her along with Blue Jeans for my younger boy cousin. smells like baby powder. Burned my nose. But any women of any age can appreciate the great container and beautiful color of the perfume--the bottle and container are kitchsy, fun, distinctive--real "Yippe ki yo ki yea, m--f--." I blind bought this one based on a YouTuber review and I dont regret. I used to have it when I was in high school. Both are clear. worth the price as it's often on sale. One of her customers had ordered this, but she had never showed up again. However, something made me try it again today and I've changed my mind. This is a 90s classic, but very accessible for the modern nose. Of course the scents I love fade into oblivion after an hour or two, but this one is bloody immortal. I enjoy it for it's nostalgia, though. Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Espaol, Franais, etina, Italiano, , Polski, Portugus, , , Nederlands, Srpski, Romn, , , , . Right out of the bottle its just floral, no white florals though. It's a very heavy scent on me, and it doesn't fade all that easily either. The bottle and packaging are beautiful but overall I'm a bit disappointed. I'm afraid that I'm one of those who do not like this fragrance at all. I expected something better something like the male version ( blue jeans) but unfortunately this smells so chemical and annoying. It was a random combo,,but blew everyone away. Im delighted by the dry woodsy notes in this combined with the freshness of rose petals. I thought there would also be raspberry in the notes, but it's just rose combined with the fruitiness of peach and black currant. All my friends said it smells like leather and I notice it too. What a surprise! Powdery but its fresh and not overwhelming. I wasn't a fan then, and am not a fan now. This was given to me as a Christmas gift a few years ago. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s? This is way, way WAY too sweet for me. I don't know how someone is able to smell anything than tropical thick fruit and clean musk. This perfume is wearable even to the dentist's office, but it still keeps me interested and uplifted. It reminds me of a road trip with friends. I bought this on a whim and in all honesty, It just smells like generic baby wipes. Don't like this at all, tried to wear it a few times and had to scrub it off every time. Yuck. In the 90s it always reminded me of gummibears when I smelled it on others. Try it, you just might like it! I had a bottle of this years ago. First whiff is kids sweet medicine smell then dries down to green tea-ish scent. Knowing that the scent would change, I was curious and bought it on a whim because the price is unbeatable! It's 90's vibe, I was born in the Orwellian year 84.

I adore it in the summer time when a strong fruity blast is more than welcome, as I go outside to give it plenty of room to fill. There are times when this gives me trouble breathing. I am quite a fan of synthetic smells, I love the synthetic Jasmine in Alien and the synthetic cherry in Black Cherry Merlot. I like the Blue Jeans for men and I buy it often for the male relatives. This smells exactly how you think it will smell, a bit weird and synthetic and 'red', definitely one to be missed. Great for work, running errands, lunch with friends Ive worn this to visit sick friends and received compliments instead of complaints. I have had several bottles over the years now & have never grown tired of it. This smelled sooo weird when I put it on and I really didn't like it. Everytime I put it on I get headaches. This perfume smells like on of those disinfectant wipes we use in hospital to clean medical equipments. i will always love this perfume. It's not too sweet either which is great. Its very unique. Its so sad because my husband had the male version of it and I absolutely loved smelling this on him. Hmm, would I say this is peachy? And Im so happy this bottle says Versace and not Versus. I still have that (empty) bottle and its tin reads "GIANNI VERSACE - RED JEANS". Its a gorgeous bottle and packaging but the monster within isn't worth the money. If I were the Versace CEO I'd be embarrassed to have the Versace name attached to something so low quality; the plastic lid also adds to the overall cheap vibe of the whole thing. Really weird smell. This perfume was given to me as a gift. I maybe still have the can somewhere. It opens for me with cherry (not a listed note), rather than peach or apricot, but it is a jammy delight. My god i hate this scent. I hate this so much, I can't believe Versace made this. On my skin I get this fizzy character which is why I call it soapy ( when a soap foams up) This has been my fragrance to spray on my clothes and skin before I go workout and its crowd pleasing. Perhaps I'm smelling the violet? Somehow it manages to have balls to the walls crazy intense level sillage and longevity. It's nice enough, but nothing special to me anymore. Not a big fan, but still like it. At the moment you can get the perfume really cheap. Love perfumes with vanilla in them. Anyway, it just fades away in 10-15 minutes and it starts to develop into a less childish and more subtle, womanly perfume. Or maybe there really are people out there who smell good in this. My love for this perfume started in the early 2000s as a child. For the price it is worth it.
Red Jeans was one of the first perfumes I bought for myself back in the early 2000s and was my signature for years. This is a hard return for me. This smell is very different. Truly did not like this one. The only thing with Versace perfumes I noticed is that they can go off if you keep them for very long. I am happy wearing this perfume. I guess I was curious based on all the contradicting reviews and it was on clearance and now it's on my vanity and I'm giving it the side-eye from across the room. I dont know anyone who couldnt find a use for Versace Red Jeans. I recently blind bought this and I want to love it but the opening is too strong for me. I wouldn't suggest it for teens. very uplifting and bright like most of Versace's female scents. Ive recieved it as a present so I have used to use it at home or simply for casual daily situations. i bought this after reading the good reviews god i was so dissapointed in this i literally gave me an headache this smells gross.. sorry to say that i really hate this one since it was a gift giving wth great expectations, its a bit smoky unpleasant scent that last on me for a quite long time, which it would be nice if it didnt smell terrible.. I wore this a lot as a teen and it was one of the first perfumes I bought by myself. Fact. I would say it's good for mid twenties and up. I dont know why I notice a very strong rose note in here. I got it for $18 at TJ Maxx and think it's good for the price, if I paid a lot for this I'd be mad but for under $20 I am satisfied. I wish everything at this price point could have such a unique bottle. Horrible! Kudos to them because it almost made me nauseous - I had to scrub it before it got to the drydown- and it made my husband break out in hysterical laughter at how bad it was on me. Iconic scent & bottle! Its very much a synthetic fruity scent and for some reason it reminds me of rotting fruits. (I dislike this one). This is truly a classic fruity-floral! A very playful and brisk openning, almost childish with very peachy notes according to me. Honestly, I liked it the first time. Definitely a classic and not expensive. Its such a natural smelling peach not synthetic not candy like either. If you want try formula watery-sugary-artificialy jelly go for it. Not my favorite, when I wear it for too long its headache inducing. It just sticks forever and is so sharp. I often get sickened from the peach-heavy fragrances, but as I mentioned in my first review of this, I think the sour black currant and the diffuse violet notes balance it out enough for me. The Peach+Apricot+Violet combo is a death warrant for me. I prefer sweet perfumes and for me this one its not, the scent is overpowdering in some way, but its not bad. It has a heavy, indiscernible and unpleasant smell. It does take me back to the early/mid 90's, and for that reason it makes me smile. I've had a bottle of this for years and used to really dislike it.

One of my favorites from the 90's but too many I love. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it makes me feel sick. I like the smell, others like the smell and its accepted well. Quick review since it's late but I got this as a gift and it smells mostly of dried apricot like you just opened a bag of them. Red Jeans is a pleasant enough fruity-floral. I don't like it all. I mainly detect a musky fresh rose in the opening notes. Ive had this perfume since secondary school, always being told I smelt amazing. I could not figure out what I was actually smelling. You can get it at cheaper price now and it lasts all day. I only sprayed one spray on my wrist and was shocked at how powerful and long lasting it was. In Italy this has been re issued last year and can be found on line at a very good price.OK it's not a masterpiece but it smells so good and that's what counts. It's jammy sweet with some freshness and it lasts many hours on the skin. This is perfect for spring and summmer use.Very enjoyable. I think this is a case where my body chemistry is compatible with this scent- after it dries down it smells a lot less synthetic. I don't really wear it these days but it will always feel like an easy reach for me. Red Jeans by Versace instantly takes me back to my childhood in the '90s, when my aunty would wear this religiously. Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. Yes, it is a real 90s scent bomb, but that's what I like because the 90s were a great decade for me. My sister however loves it. I bought this from a former schoolmate, who was closing down her beauty parlour. A lovely fruity, juicy, jammy, fresh perfume and after some hours rose is dominant on my skin. . Over the Christmas season, I saw a guy about to purchase this and I was almost tempted to persuade him otherwise ( I didnt, I chose to mind my business). Its not sweet, very powdery. The black currant and violet overcome the peach, so I can love this. Even though some might see it as tacky, I kind of like the packaging, to me it is very 90's and very Versace. It's strange. But about an hour later those violets came out to play- it reminded me of these candied violet pastilles my grandma would have. It doesn't develop much as it settles, it keeps steady throughout. I'll write a second review sometime soon. Anyone could pull this fragrance off. Love it;girly smell;long lasting;but I only buy it now on internet;it's not avaible in stores. It's sweet, but it's got like this bitter smell which I like even though that doesn't sound good lol. ;) Freesia, LOTV, water lily, and a lot of musk. Maybe back in the day it smelled more natural, less synthetic. My husband gave me this perfume for my birthday. Its my worst nightmare. It's dry down smells good. Its a little bit sweet and pure smell. Smells so strong at first, but mellows out and stays on my skin the longest of any perfume I've had. So I bought it and when it came today I couldnt open that Amazon box fast enough. Someone wrote that its like fruity shampoo and I agree, but there are other layers in this, too. On me it is very fruity and full of peaches, but the overall impression is far from peachy shampoo. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10 on the right occasions and probably a 4 or 5 any other time. Reminds me of baby powder mixed with grapefruit juice. At that price, I would probably buy it again at some point. In fact I hated the sweetness so much that it seemed to last longer than I wanted it to, but the reality is it lasts about 4-5 hours, and the dry down is bland too. Wouldn't mind using it every day. There are better fragrances with the same vibe, but this one smells just too chemical. Instantly I was transported to 1994, and just felt a whole 90s vibe. this should be called violet jeans because violets are where the sweetness comes fromthis is mainly a rose and violet scent outside of the initial spray which lasts a good 20 minutesi never get to the base notes of sandalwood, musk, and vanilla it seems to stay at the mid notes for hours until fadei really like this a lot but not too pleased with the first 20 minutes but the dry down is worth it. I love both peachy sweet and sandal notes. i won't be rebuying but it was nice while it lasted. So I actually blind bought this one, it is very popular with women around my age (Im 23) and I have actually had quite a few people recommend it to me. I bought this on a whim. The mix of Black Currant and Freesia gives me a headache (mostly the Freesia). It suits the spring time very well. Perfect for a 14-17 year old girl. But this. this is almost rotting with synthetic dribbling peaches.
garifuna cd heritage For some really odd reason - the violet stands out the most to me. This smells almost identical to the original Miss Dior Cherie to me. I had 1 time test Red Jeans edt on my own skin. Its a no fuss, pretty, simple scent that I can wear with a dress, or jeans. This fragrance sits very close to my skin, and is hard for others to detect. Two years ago I found Red Jeans on discount so I bought it for old times sake. It dries down to a manly fragrance left on the skin which I hate. I have loved this perfume for 13 years. It smells very rosy and kind of smoked. I only have that one bottle - but if I see another Ill definitely grab it. I found it for 10 pounds and it is indeed a bargain beauty. I love it,specialy in the spring! I honestly don't fully understand the hate this perfume gets! Safe blind but for any age, any preference. However, for me nothing catchy and special. I seem to be getting lucky finding free perfumes lately in London! To each, their nose, though. It's acid overpowering pesticide! I wear this to my retail job when I want customers to stay away from me works like a charm! It smells like public bathroom spray. I quite like this now! Opens with a very sharp and crisp peach and apricot (that I can completely understand being overpowering and headache inducing on some) then mellows out some as the freesia, violet and lily of the valley kick in. I like it, but in tiny doses. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how old this was this is great for the asking price. I got this perfume as my last birthday gift, its really disappointing how bad this perfume smells.. It doesn't smell like a cheap girly odor, I actually find it quite mature and mesmerizing. This was my fourth and final perfume purchase from my adolescent and teenage years. It's ok, not a must have! Cloying and harsh, this takes me back to being an adolescent in the worst way possible: it smells like cheap and nasty bodyspray I used to buy for 2 when I was 13. I haven't encountered more artificial scents than these ones. This way, it irritates me to the lesser degree. Red Jeans Perfume is an american classic. I actually found a bottle of it - someone obviously agreed with my feelings and had left their bottle outside on their fence with a sign that said 'free'. It smells soooo niceclean, freshI'm looking around the kitchen, trying to locate the source of the scentthen realize it's me, it's this perfume. i'm almost out. Im on a perfume binge, yes Ive fallen off the wagon and seem to be purchasing a bottle every two weeks. Who the flying fuck at versace gave the green light on this? Now I'm loving it! I dont know what apricots the other users smell , mine smells like cheap spray deodorant. It's the only perfume I would keep in my locker at school. I wear it only occasionally but I keep it in my fragrance wardrobe when I want to remember Paris in 1994. Red Jeans was created in 1994. Great for those days youre running late or just not in the mood to take time and search for a fragrance that suits your outfit or mood. I must admit, I have a love/hate relationship with this one. Back then I remember it smelling of peaches, ribena, and a dry down of sweet vanilla. I personally am a spice and sandalwood lover, and for such a feminine smell I am surprised at how much I love this! IT always takes me awhile to get to know a perfume and we are off to a good start. It is a little synthetic, but that's not always a bad thing. Yes, this is making a comeback due to its resemblance to Guerlain rosa pop. I dont like it, I dont dislike it, its just super meh, wouldnt buy it again. I do like the sweetness about it though just wish it was softer and not such a masculine smell. Even if the other design elements read a bit tacky, the way they are implemented lends visual interest. I've also bought a couple more bottles since his death (now reading "VERSACE - RED JEANS") and it smells the same, so I don't think it has been reformulated. Perfume lovers: 791,655 Mixes amazingly well w/ Chanel Cristalle eau Vert. FINALLY, a perfume I really love. Once back home, I tried this: I was disappointed by the artificial sweetness of this perfume, but by chance, and also because I hate wasting money, I tried "mixing" this with "Pleasures exotic" from Este Lauder, which is too bitter for my taste. I love it. Good choice if youre looking for a relaxing, not overly sweet and inoffensive fragrance for warm days. At first sniff one smelt more like apples & one smelt more like honeysuckle but now I can't tell them apart just that they are different. I had this on the 90's and my mother always complained that I smelled like cigarretes.. so I had to give it away, and that wasnt hard, as this was not my kind f scent (very fruity, even for the 90's). I always keep a stash of this. The same applies to Bruno Banani's scents. It's always the type of scent that leaves the trail, fills the bus, walks with you like a cloud but not in a nauseating way. The bottle is brand new and I tried it twice. Top notes are Peach, Apricot, Freesia and Black Currant; middle notes are Rose, Violet, Lily-of-the-Valley, Water Lily and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Musk, Vanilla and Sandalwood. While Tresor, Tuscany Per Donna, and Champs Elises were shouting Red Jeans was speaking coyly in hushed tones. I don't dislike it, but I don't love it, yet it keeps calling me back like a forgotten friend. All I smelled throughout the hours I wore it was peach, peach, and rotten peach. Im now 27.

To me, its openning aside it s a playful but womenly scent, it d be easily worn by a grown woman, as it d be suitable for a teenage girl. I love this perfume! 6/2018 - I regret blind buying this from Amazon, after watching YouTube reviews regarding this as a great warmer-weather, compliment-garnering fragrance. it's like first love.. something that i won't forget.. it is sweet and strong and cheap but good enough for the price. I think this was a great foray into fragrance for young girls in the 90's - not the most complex fragrance but back then you could do much worse! Nope. But I just can't seem to like it. It is not that I completely dislike it but it was never a favorite of mine; it reminds me of sugary water. Rose and violet mixed with sweet peaches and apricot on a sweet vanilla, musk and sandalwood base. The sweetness from the peach is still very much present in the dry down. This reminds me of the 00's I always wanted this as a 10 Yr old kid all my friends had it and the tap cold and hot scents its nostalgic but I hate the dry down so won't be purchasing it but it took me back to being 10 again when I smelt this today. I havent worn it out in public since I wouldnt want to offend others, so I cant attest to others complimenting it. I do get a light woodsy almost papery note in the soft drydown. I don't know if my mom used to wear it or if it smells like something in Germany or Italy, but it brings up memories of being there. It's very light on the skin at the moment so you have to leave it on before judging it I suppose. It reminds me of high school. It was flowery and fresh but I think I like Blue Jeans more. It just worked on me. It dries down to green notes and Lily of the valley reminding me of a very soft Eternity. Hmm. You can easily notice its powdery and musky structure when main notes start to hit surface and perfume stays like that literally for hours. It gives me a lit bit of a lipstick smell, i think might be the violet fault. I couldnt stop sniffing my arm. It's nice and casual to wear! I've always gotten compliments on the way I smell but since I started wearing this people have gone crazy with comments about it; "God, you smell so good," "Wow! When I saw the packaging and flacon, my first thoughts were that Versace should stick to doing whatever else it is they do. @ paperghost , you sound very snobby , if my s daughter had bought me this , i would not belittle her immaturity in fragrances on here only to then bolster my own self procclaimed perfume expertise. I would use it as a keepsake holder of almost anything. But do not think because the volume was turned down that the impact of what was whispered was diminishedit still packs a wallop. The dry down in my skin of Giver spa is amazing. Right now, with my changing tastes and many finished bottles of red jeans since my mom likes this one so much and tends to buy it everytime she finds a good deal, my thoughts changed, a lot. I always wanted to use it. I had this perfume in the 90s it was the first perfume that my grandmother ever bought me it reminds me of her so much. Lily + redcurrant syrup drink + blackberry + plastic notebook covers (the scent of stationer's shop, mix of PVC plastic covers and fragrant notebooks) + trace of vanilla. On my skin this is a simple powdery violet. It was one of my worst. I understand that this one is a classictht many of the you lived with it.it was a part of your nostalgiabut come on.im sorry but i despise the scenttoo strong too cloying.something's got to be wrong with this composition..it may be appelaing for those who grew up with this..but for the younger genits another pass from me.psits weird but i like the blue jean though. The bottle is brand new and I don't want to throw it away. Should I somehow summarize the spirit of this fragrance, to me it would be simply JOLLY and a little audacious (in a very healthy way).
